Overseas & FX fees

Standard foreign-currency fees are 3% for Visa / Mastercard (2% bank + 1% network) and 3.2% for UnionPay (2.4% bank + 0.8% network). A CNY sub-account waiver on selected dual-currency cards is a separate, currency-specific benefit.

Pay in the merchant’s local currency when comparing network conversion. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) uses the merchant’s rate; 0% issuer fees do not promise the interbank rate or remove merchant mark-ups, cash-advance charges or ATM fees.
